Westcrowns Inc., the Shallotte, N.C., distributor of Pilkington's Profilit product which abruptly shut down last Friday will be filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy possibly the end of this week but more likely next week, according to William Janvier, the bankruptcy lawyer who is representing the company. He is with Everett Gaskins Hancock & Stevens LLP in Raleigh, N.C.

Janvier explained that with the filing, which is a liquidation bankruptcy, the court will appoint a trustee to oversee the liquidation of the company's assets and to sort out its financial matters.
