Westcrowns Inc., of Ocean Isle Beach, N. C., has announced that it will open a new regional distribution center in the U.S. to offer better pricing and availability of its Pilkington Profilit™ window. The first of several regional distribution centers will open in the southwest in Tucson, Ariz., and will service Arizona, southern California, southern Nevada and New Mexico.

According to company information, the regional distribution centers will offer customers lower costs by warehousing Profilit inventory to eliminate international freight expenses and provide faster delivery for compacted construction schedules. The new distribution center will also offer customers value-added services including cutting, fabricating, laminating and tempering.

"With the opening of Westcrowns Southwest and future regional distribution centers, we are looking to expand our market, respond to customer requests and offer more options to our current national distribution network," said Geoffrey Card, president of Westcrowns.
