Vos Glass Recognized by Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Michigan

The Associated Builders and Contractors of Western Michigan has honored Vos Glass of Grand Rapids, Mich., with the 2005 Award of Excellence in the glass and glazing category. The award was presented for the company's work on the St. Mary's Richard J. Lacks Cancer Center, which showcases a variety of glazing systems and products.

Some of the products installed by Vos Glass include the following:

• Kawneer aluminum entrances and curtainwall combined with YKK series YOW 250T operable windows in charcoal gray custom painted finish on the exterior construction
  
• Nearly 18,000 square feet of reflective gray, high-performance Viracon vision glass and spandrel glass
• "Radiused" curtainwall that featured Pilkington's Activ glass
  
• Custom glue-chip acid-etched glass from Echo Etching of Grand Rapids
  
• FireLite glass in the interior doors and sidelites
  
• Custom-shaped glass etched with inspirational verses in the interior design of the fifth floor corridor
  
• A 7-foot by 28-foot skylight from Naturalite
