The Vistawall Group has announced that it has been tapped to manufacture some
of the exterior components that will ultimately add to the design and function
of the Lillis Business Complex at the University of Oregon, a new building the
school wanted "green" from the ground up.
According to the Vistawall press release, Vistawall Architectural Products
worked with Lease Crutcher Lewis Construction of Portland, Ore. and glazing contractor
Pacific Glass of Renton, Wash., as well as with a solar consultant to incorporate
solar voltaic glass modules into its CW-250 curtainwall system.
The project includes wire harnesses routed back into the building connecting
to DC/AC converters and a Vistawall front set Multiplane storefront system with
Zero-Sightline operable project-out windows from Moduline Window Systems (part
of The Vistawall Group). The building was awarded a LEED Certified Silver
Award by the United States Green Building Council, according to the Vistawall
press release.
