Viracon Names New Vice President of Operations, Statesboro

Bob Randall, a 13-year employee of Owatonna, Minn.-based Viracon, has been named vice president of operations at the company's Statesboro, Ga., facility. He replaces Mike Diedrich who left the company earlier this year. Previously, Randall served five years as director of sales in Owatonna. Prior to that, he held numerous leadership positions throughout the organization.

"Bob brings a new and varied set of skills to this position," said Viracon president Don Pyatt. "He has clearly demonstrated his leadership and administrative abilities, and he knows first hand what the customer expects in terms of quality and service. This assignment will test Bob's managerial capabilities, and we're confident he'll do well."

Randall has a bachelor's degree in management from St. John's University and a master's degree in finance from the University of St. Thomas. He is a trained Six Sigma Black Belt, and is a certified construction documents technologist through the Construction Specifiers Institute. In addition, he has been active in community and state organizations. Randall has served in various positions on the Owatonna Area Chamber of Commerce & Tourism board of directors, including board chair. He has also served as a board member of the Minnesota State Chamber or Commerce and on Leadership Owatonna.

He has relocated to Statesboro where he has assumed his new position.
