Viracon
Names Four New Manufacturing Managers
Viracon has promoted four employees in its headquarters in Owatonna, Minn.,
plant to manager status. Glen Pauling is now one of the production managers for
the coatings department. Rick Farmer and Ryan Falch have both been promoted to
production managers in the tempering department, and Jason Fransen is the production
manager of the laminating department.
Pauling joined Viracon as a Six Sigma Black Belt one year ago. Prior to that
he was a production manager and business analyst at Viratec, a sister company
to Viracon.
Farmer, a six year Viracon employee, was previously laminating production manager
and is a Six Sigma Black Belt. He will now be responsible for tempering lines
two, three and four within the Owatonna facility.
A seven-year Viracon employee, Falch previously served as a Six Sigma Black
Belt and a production supervisor in the insulating department at Viracon. He will
now manage tempering line one as well as silkscreen and paint operations for the
Owatonna plant.
Fransen joined Viracon in 1999 and most recently served as supervisor of laminating.
"The addition of all four managers brings tremendous leadership and a
variety of experience to the production management team. I look forward to the
significant contributions each will make to our operation," said Bill Wright,
director of manufacturing at the Owatonna location.
Viracon also has a facility in Statesboro, Ga.
