TruSeal Technologies of Beachwood, Ohio, has available 3A/13X and 3A Siliporite® molecular sieves for window manufacturers. The company says these bead products are compatible with manufacturing gas-filled IG units and also help achieve low dew points.

The molecular sieves are designed for use with solvent-based sealants and blend a synthetic zeolite of the type X and A crystalline structure to remove water and solvent residues after sealing the glass.

TruSeal says the 3A molecular sieves can be used to remove water and prevent condensation within IGUs that use metal spacers. The 3A bead products can be used with dual- and single-seal units manufactured with solvent-free sealants, but are not recommended for use in single-seal units that utilize solvent-based sealants.
