Tem-Pace Inc. Expands Facility
Tem-Pace
Inc., located in Niles, Mich., has announced its latest expansion. The company
has secured the property adjacent to its present facility adding an additional
24,000 square feet, bringing the total to over 100,000 square feet under roof
on approximately 14 acres.
Tem-Pace started in 1987 with its first glass fabricating and tempering facility
of approximately 20,000 square feet and little more than 10 employees. The vision
of Richard J. Krause Sr., founder and chief executive officer, was to service
customers in the immediate tri-state area, providing quality custom fabricated
flat tempered glass products to customers quickly, efficiently and cost effectively.
The company has undergone two additional expansions over that past few years
to approximately 78,000 square feet and has afforded Tem-Pace the opportunity
for additional fabrication equipment and the addition of a Glasstech CRB tempering
system capable of producing radius bent tempered glass.
In pursuing new and innovative products, Tem-Pace has developed its own decorative
glass product line SculpturLite. Tem-Pace presently employs 111 employees.
