Technoform Announces Plans for First North American Manufacturing Facility

Technoform of Cleveland has announced a finalized ten-year lease agreement for its first North American production facility, which will be located in Twinsburg, Ohio.

The new 54,000-square-foot facility will manufacture the company's I-Spacer™ and I-Strut™ products. The lease became effective January 1; terms were not disclosed.

"Ideally, we wanted our first production facility to be located near the large concentration of window manufacturers in this region and accessible to major highways for ease of distribution," said Mark Silverburg, president of Technoform. "We also sought close proximity to major polymer and engineering universities in Cleveland and Akron for assistance in developing new technologies. High demand for our products requires production in North America, and we needed to initiate that production as soon as possible, so we focused on identifying newer buildings that could be occupied fairly quickly."

The company says it plans to begin installing manufacturing equipment early this year and expects to initiate production for North American orders by May. In addition, company officials expect to hire 28 to 30 new employees over the next two years.
