Tamglass Insulating Glass and Tamglass Safety Glass Complete Employee Negotiations

Tamglass Insulating Glass Ltd. and Tamglass Safety Glass Ltd., part of Kyro's main business area Glaston Technologies, are merging their operations during the summer. The companies have now completed the merge-related employee negotiations, which started on June 5, 2006 and concerned administrative staff.

As a result of the negotiations, the companies' administrative personnel has been reduced by five people. Company officials say the need to boost both companies' production by reducing fixed costs and improving the productivity of personnel, production units and machinery led to the rifs. Tamglass Safety Glass and Tamglass Insulating Glass share synergies, which will materialize through the merger of production and administration.

After the reductions, some 160 people work in Kyro's Glass Processing Group companies Tamglass Insulating Glass, Tamglass Safety Glass and Tamglass Finton.
