Solutia Announces Jury for 2012 World of Color Awards

Officials at Solutia Inc. of St. Louis, announced the jury members for the 2012 Solutia World of Color Awards Inspired by Vanceva, according to a December 7 company release. The second annual international design awards program honors architects, interior designers, glass fabricators, furniture designers, glazing contractors and engineers, and other industry professionals around the world for their design use of colored laminated safety glass in building design and interior spaces.
All projects will be judged by an international jury of industry professionals representing the architectural, design and color marketing industries. The 2012 jury comprises:

  • Pitupong Chaowakul, founder of Supermachine Architect Studio in Bangkok, Thailand, and one of the keynote speakers in the international forum Archifest 2010 in Singapore. Winner of the 2010 Solutia World of Color Awards, Exterior Division;
  • Brunete Fraccaroli, Brazilian designer recognized worldwide as "the color architect";
  • Andrew Moor, principal of Andrew Moor Associates in London and author of “The Colour of Architecture.” Moor returns to the jury for a second year;
  • Mark P. Sexton, FAIA, LEED AP, founding partner of Krueck + Sexton Architects in Chicago;
  • Jane Stockel, principal of Jane Stockel Designs in Hong Kong and recent recipient of the International Colorlink award from Color Marketing Group.

"The architects and designers that make up this year's jury panel are respected leaders in the industry," says Aimee Davis, global marketing communications manager at Solutia, in the release. "Glass and color play a significant role in the work of this jury."

The Solutia World of Color Awards competition is an international recognition program open to all industry professionals. All entries must include liberal use of Vanceva color interlayer products and must have been completed between January 1, 2008, and December 31, 2011.

Visit to submit photographs and background information for each project. There are no entry fees, and multiple entries will be accepted.
