2006 Solutia International Design Awards Open for Entries

Solutia Inc., the St. Louis-based manufacturer of polyvinyl butyral interlayers for the production of laminated glass, is accepting entries for the eighth annual Solutia International Design Awards. The awards are judged on creativeness, form and function of laminated glazing, the significance of the design in regard to new and developing applications of laminated glazing, and overall aesthetic appeal.

The competition is open to architects, interior designers, glass fabricators, automotive designers and engineers, but the projects nominated must have been completed between January 1, 2000 and December 31, 2005 and include prolific use of products from Solutia's architectural and automotive family of product brands. Automotive projects but have debuted for the public or have been offered for sale between January 1, 2001 and April 30, 2006 to be eligible for the competition.

Nominations should include a photograph of the project along with a background description. The deadline to nominate a project is May 31, 2006. CLICK HERE to download entry forms.
