Based in Madison Heights, Mich., Sika Corp., Industrial Business Unit, has announced that Sikaflex-511, a one-part STP sealant/adhesive, has earned AAMA verification for 808.3-92, "Voluntary Specifications and Test Methods for Sealants: Exterior Perimeter Sealing Compound."

"Sikaflex-511 is a versatile workhorse of our growing STP product line, as illustrated by the growing list of AAMA certified applications," said Barry Kutch, vice president, Industrial Business Unit. "Not only can it be used as a general or impact application backbedding sealant, but the unique material properties lend themselves to other fenestration applications, particularly window and door installations."
