Sheffield Plastics Inc. of Sheffield, Mass., has announced the appointment of Kenneth K. Schwartz as its product development manager. In this role Schwartz will be responsible for the research and development of new polycarbonate blend sheet products for Sheffield and for new film products for Bayer Films Americas, now a division of Sheffield.

"Ken Schwartz brings a wealth of plastics industry experience to Sheffield Plastics," said Dennis Duff, president. "He will manage the development of new products for both the sheet and film divisions of Sheffield and help position Sheffield Plastics to continue to meet the demands of ever-changing markets with the best possible mix of products and services."

Schwartz has previous experience with several plastics companies in product development and management. He received his bachelors degree from Drexel University and his masters degree from Northeastern University.
