Research Frontiers, the Woodbury, N.Y.-based developer of SPD-Smart technology that allows users to control the amount of light, glare and heat coming through a window, announced that one of its licensees, Smart Glass Ireland Ltd., won the Innovative Product of the Show award at the recently concluded 2004 Plan Expo, Ireland's premier construction industry event. SmartGlass Ireland showcased their complete product line at the show, including its new SPD Glasslite rooflight.

The company added that several of its licensees would be demonstrating SPD-smart products at other upcoming shows. Cricursa Cristales Curvados S.A., for instance, will be exhibiting its Cri-Regulite line of SPD products in the Glass Technology Live section at glasstec, going on now until November 13, in Düsseldorf, Germany. Prelco Inc. will feature the technology at the upcoming Build Boston Show, November 16-18.
