PPG Wins Environmental Award for Solarban 70XL Glass

PPG Performance Glazings recently announced that it has won the business category of the 2007 Western Pennsylvania Environmental Award, for its Solarban 70XL low-e solar control glass.

The Western Pennsylvania Environmental Council and Dominion Foundation presents four such awards annually to honor outstanding environmental accomplishments in western Pennsylvania. The award comes with a $5000 cash award, which PPG announced it will donate to the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Pittsburgh.

"We are extremely pleased to have won this award. It spotlights our environmental commitment, our superb research and development efforts and our product excellence," said Mark Orcutt, vice president of PPG Performance Glazings.
