PGC International Elects Three to Board of
Directors
November 16, 2010
The Protective Glazing Council (PGC) International recently elected
three new members to its board of directors: Chris Carter of Momentive
Performance Materials Inc., Huston Dawson of Weidlinger Associates
Inc. and Steven Schroer of Bekaert Specialty Films LLC. They replace
outgoing directors Bhaskar Adusumalli of TRACO, Larry Livermore
of Architectural Testing Inc. and Dave Kaliser of Solutia's Performance
Films Division.
"We owe a big debt of gratitude to Bhaskar, Larry and Dave
for their time and efforts while serving on the board of directors,"
says Urmilla Sowell, PGC president. "PGC International is a
stronger organization because of their contributions."
Elections were held prior to the Annual Symposium, which took place
at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) headquartered
in Gaithersburg, Md., in early November. The new board members were
introduced on stage to attendees comprised of members, industry
and government agencies.
"I am excited to work with our new directors," adds Sowell.
"PGC International has strong momentum right now with the creation
of our new Government Affairs Committee, the release of the Protective
Glazing Manual, which was created by a strong alliance with the
Glass Association of North America (GANA), a successful Annual Symposium
and several new technical projects being released in the near future.
Chris, Huston and Steven will help to keep these efforts on track
and guide the organization to more successes."
