Fulton Windows, a 28-year old manufacturer of windows and curtainwall systems,
has been purchased by Oldcastle Glass. Fulton, which is based in Mississauga,
Ontario, Canada, has the majority of its business in the United States.
CRH plc, the Dublin, Ireland, parent company of Oldcastle, said in a statement
about company-wide investments that Fulton's products "complement the Glass
Group's existing architectural glass, storefront and structural glass wall products
" and that "the acquisition of Fulton is another step toward achieving
the Glass Group's objective to become the leading provider of high-performance
architectural glass and aluminum glazing systems."
Representatives from Fulton declined to comment and a call to Oldcastle Glass
was not returned.
