Nippon Sheet Glass Releases Fiscal 2011 Results
May 12, 2011

Nippon Sheet Glass, parent company of Pilkington North America, has released its fiscal 2011 full year results, stating that its gross profit for 2011 is at $1,937 million USD (156,281 million JPY) compared to 1,833 million USD (148,339 million JPY) in 2010.

The group reports that its building product sales in North America saw revenues higher this year than in 2010. The statement further notes: “Domestic market conditions remain challenging. The reduction in domestic volumes was offset by increasing exports and sales of value-added products. Profits increased as a result of better asset utilization, cost savings, and an improving product mix.”
