NFRC
Announces Staffing Changes
The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) announced staffing changes
recently.
Bipin Shah, director of programs, left on June 1 to start his own consulting firm,
WinBuild Inc. As a contractor, he will continue to manage the development of NFRC's
Component Modeling Program for nonresidential projects.
Maria Terezia Bulbuc will start as NFRC's new director of education on June
19. A chemical engineer with a background in designing, building, and managing
testing laboratories, Bulbuc will lead NFRC's efforts to work with and educate
the design community, building officials; in addition, her background will solidify
NFRC's technical expertise with its members and program participants.
"As our longest-serving staff member, Bipin played a key role in building
NFRC into the organization it is today," said Jim Benney, NFRC's executive
director. "We thank him for his years of service, wish him well in his new
venture, and look forward to working closely with him to develop a valuable and
useful new tool for the nonresidential sector of the fenestration industry."
Benney added that Bulbuc will play an important role.
"We have heard loud and clear from our members and others that NFRC needs
to improve its relationships with architects, specifiers, building officials,
and others who can benefit from our program and ratings. With her background,
Maria will be able to jump right in, reach out to these important customers, and
serve as a full-time point of contact for them," he said.
Jacqueline McCracken will join NFRC as Certification Program Coordinator on
June 12. A Texas native with a background in production and quality control, McCracken
will report directly to Jessica Ferris and will have primary responsibility for
daily operations of NFRC's Product Certification Program (PCP).
"Jacqueline's experience as a production control analyst and her extensive
work in quality control and compliance make her uniquely qualified to oversee
the PCP," said Benney. "She is a perfect fit for the NFRC team."
