MGA Holds Conference, Presents Awards

The Minnesota Glass Conference, sponsored by the Minnesota Glass Association (MGA), was held September 14th at the Comfort Inn in Plymouth, Minn. Both architectural and auto glass dealers listened to presentations about building codes by Roger Axel of the Association of Minnesota Building Officials and Roger O'Shaughnessy, president and chief executive officer of Cardinal Glass Industries.

The event was followed by a Pork Chop Fry dinner and entertainment.

MGA presented a number of awards during its opening session. Rod Ellison of Auto Glass Today was named Minnesota Glass Dealer of the Year, while Rick Hillesheim of Hillesheim Architectural Products, Inc., and Randy and Joyce Johnson of Johnson Sales received the recognition and service awards.

In addition, the group honored executive director Mike Schmaltz for his efforts on their behalf.
