Matthews International Announces Acquisition of Holjeron

Matthews International, based in Pittsburgh, has acquired Holjeron, of Wilsonville, Ore., an industrial controls manufacturer and supplier to Matthew's marking products division.
As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Matthews, Holjeron will be managed by the marking products division, which plans to develop new turnkey marking products, incorporating the level of product control, traceability and material handling made possible by Holjeron's microprocessor-based technology.

"With more and more customers requiring turnkey solutions, not simply better marking equipment, this acquisition gives us the ability to sell into those applications," said Brian Dunn, president of Matthews, marking products division.

According to Dunn, Holjeron's technology provides precise material handling and tracking with fewer parts and less wiring, while being more energy-efficient and quiet.
