Claus Carlsen to Head Kyro's Glass Processing Group, Iivanainen named Business Development Director

Claus Carlsen has been appointed to the position of managing director at Glaston Technologies' Glass Processing group and Tamglass Safety Glass. His appointment will begin January 1, 2006 and he will report to Pentti Yliheljo, Kyro Group president and chief executive officer.

Carlsen worked at Tamglass from 1989-1997 as marketing director, among other positions. Carlsen now joins the Kyro Group after working for LINPAC Group, a British packaging company, where he served as managing director of the German and Nordic group companies.

"Carlsen's versatile international experience makes him the right choice for carrying out our Glass Processing Group's profitable growth and internationalization," said Yliheljo.

In the New Year, Pertti Iivanainen, the long-standing director of Glass Processing Group and Tamglass Safety Glass Ltd., will assume the position of business development director of the Glass Processing Group. He will continue as a member of the group company boards.
