Kitterman
Appointed New President of AFG Industries
Brad Kitterman has been appointed president and CEO of AFG Industries Inc.
according to Arthur Ulens, president of AGC Flat Glass. In his introduction,
Ulens said, "In his several general manager roles, Brad has
led operational improvements and cost reduction programs by implementing
state-of-the-art processes and techniques and has developed a strong
background in sales and marketing, manufacturing engineering, finance
and IS&T."
Kittermans introduction followed the retirement of John Litzinger
who joined AFG 28 years ago and assumed the presidency in 2003.
Litzinger, who retired for personal reasons, led the company through
a series of strategic changes based upon a vision of customer-oriented,
profitable growth.
Kitterman currently resides in Atlanta with his wife, Maggie, and
their two daughters. He has a bachelors degree in electrical
engineering from Auburn University and has held a variety of senior
management positions with international businesses related to energy
and construction materials including: LogicaCMG, Walter Industries
and Schlumberger Limited.
Ulens concluded his introduction by saying, "I would like
to take this opportunity to thank John for his contribution during
all these years with AFG and wish him all the best during his retirement.
At the same time, I wish every success to Brad in his new responsibilities."
