The InstallationMasters Institute, which oversees the InstallationMasters
program, has licensed all training and certification responsibilities
to Architectural testing Inc. (ATI).
"ATI has administered the program since its inception in
1998, and has the resources and motivation to take InstallationMasters
to the next plateau," said Georges Thiret, an InstallationMasters
Institute board member. "All previously certified persons
continue to be certified in the program," he added.
According to ATI's David Moyer, InstallationMasters program administrator,
they are currently updating and revising the training materials,
video and manual and evaluating changes to make the program appealing
to a broad base of window installers.
"In the future, segmented training sessions may address
specific installation types," said Moyer.
In addition, Moyer said ATI is forming an InstallationMasters
advisory council. Building industry experts, including window
and door manufacturers, suppliers, experienced installers and
trainers, government officials, consultants and educators, will
serve on the council. Council members will meet to review the
program's progress, offer ideas for further program development
and implementation, evaluate future training and generally promote
