Gears up for interGLASSmetal/FENESTRATION world 2005
The 15th biennial interGLASSmetal/FENESTRATION world (IGM/FW) gets underway
in less than two weeks, November 1-3, at the Boston Convention & Exhibition
Center. The event promises a stellar seminar and educational program.
Key Communications, publisher of USGlass and Door & Window Manufacturer
magazines, has organized the seminar program. Some of the topics that that will
be covered include laminated glass 101 from Julie Schimmelpenningh of Solutia
Inc. and green building design/LEED from Valerie Block of DuPont. Hakim Elmahdy
of the National Research Council of Canada discuss the performance of different
types of insulating glass spacers. A spacer panel discussion that will include
representatives of Allmetal, Azon and TruSeal Technologies is also on the agenda.
In addition, a point-supported glass panel discussion will take place. Panelists
will include Ronald Haber of W & W Glass, Tim Eliassen of Tripyramid and Bill
Coddington, chairperson for the Glass Association of North America's point-supported
glass task group.
Representatives from the American Architectural Manufacturers Association,
the Glass Association of North America and the Insulating Glass Manufacturers
Alliance will discuss the many different types of glazing reference manuals and
resources available to the industry.
