ICD High Performance Coatings and PPG Form Marketing Alliance for Spandrel Glass

PPG Industries, of Pittsburgh, has announced a marketing alliance with ICD High Performance Coatings, headquartered in Vancouver, Wash. The agreement authorizes PPG to market ICD's OPACI-COAT-300® spandrel glass coatings (along with PPG Starphire® Ultra-Clear glass) as a total spandrel glass solution for commercial buildings across the United States and Canada. ICD also will market PPG Starphire glass as the exclusive "ultra-clear" glass for their spandrel glass coatings.

The agreement is designed to help ICD capitalize on PPG's extensive relationships in the architectural community while allowing PPG architectural representatives to offer their architect clients a single-source solution for their spandrel glass requirements.

As part of the agreement, the two companies will cross-promote OPACI-COAT-300® and Starphire glass in each other's literature and on their respective web sites. They also will work cooperatively on the production and distribution of spandrel glass samples combining the two products, as well as the management of sales leads, building project data and other market-related information.
