GPD Issues Call for Papers

A call for papers has been issued for the 10 Anniversary Glass Processing Days (GPD) conference in Tampere, Finland.

For the architectural glass industry, event organizers have set up educational sessions that cover a range of topics, including: architectural challenges and solutions in façade, roofs and structures, energy performances in buildings, glass and the environment and new product, application and nanotechnology presentations. Building product case studies will be presented, as will a vendor session.

Those interested in presenting a technical paper at the conference should submit 100-200 word abstracts by October 10, 2006. Abstracts should be submitted through the Abstract Submission form on the GPD website, www.gpd.fi.

In addition to the automotive glass seminar track, the conference will include a discussion on the changing market, both local and global, and will once again offer unique and interesting social activities, such as the midnight golf game on June 16.

GPD 2007 will be held June 14-18, 2007 and once again includes a conference, workshops and glass product exhibition.
