GPD Final Program Set
Organizers of Glass Processing Days (GPD) have announced that
the final program for GPD 2007 is now ready.
This year's event will feature four high level speakers giving their
views of the state of the glass industry in the opening session
on 15 June 2007. Those speakers are Tomoaki Abe, vice chairman of
Nippon Sheet Glass; Jacques Aschenbroich, senior vice president
of Saint-Gobain and the president of the company's flat glass business;
Russell J. Ebeid, president of the glass group of Guardian Industries
Corp.; and Arthur Ulens, president of AGC Flat Glass and chief executive
officer of Glaverbel.
The four companies that employ the executives make almost 70 percent
of the world's high quality float glass, according to event organizers,
who express a hope that no one attending GPD 2007 will want to miss
what these top executives have to say.
With more than 250 presentations on schedule, some of the topics
to be addressed at this year's event include:
- Climate changes (global view on use of energy and energy resources)
- Glass Processing (practical daily issues)
- Markets and Trends (changing Markets)
- Photovoltaics (part of our future)
In addition to the educational seminars, GPD hosts its own exhibition,
which it bills as "a great opportunity to meet your customers
and keep on track of the latest tricks of your competitors."
Online registration is available and event organizers are encouraging
attendees to register early for the best rates. The registration
fee for participants 762€ (+ VAT 22% 168€) + 35€
service fee ($1,055.43 USD) is available until 15th March 2007.
GPD 2007 will take place June 14-16 in Tampere, Finland.
