U.S.
Green Building Council Joins Glass Expo Rocky Mountain 2006
The U.S. Green Building Council, or at least the local Colorado chapter, will
participate in Glass Expo Rocky Mountain 2006 as a co-sponsor of the event and
a participant in the "Think
Tank" at the Glass Show on January 19 and 20.
The U.S. Green Building Council is a nonprofit coalition "for advancing
buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places
to live and work," members of which range from building owners and users
to real estate developers, building managers, architects, designers, engineers,
contractors, government agencies and environmental groups.
Colorado currently has 41 projects that are either LEED® certified or in
the works, including the EPA Region 8 Headquarters Building and the law centers
at the University of Denver and the University of Colorado-Boulder.
The Colorado Glazing Contractors Association (CGCA) created the "Think
Tank" as an area to exchange ideas, network and communicate with multiple
regional associations all in one place and will include the AIA Colorado and the
U.S. Green Building Council.
