GED's Continuing Education Training Program For Its Customers Has Record '06 Attendance

500 Students Graduated in 2006 Alone

Twinsburg, Ohio - January 25, 2007- GED Integrated Solutions, a provider of integrated, lean window manufacturing systems, has announced the graduation of its 500th training program student in 2006, Gale Croll of JELD-WEN.

Ken Collier, instructor for the Gen-2 Intercept Maintenance Course, gave all students in the record-breaking class an American Express gift card and Gale a certificate of appreciation to honor the occasion.

"Each year we approach this milestone number, but haven't topped 500 until 2006," says Collier.

GED has continuously provided training classes since 1996. GED also completed expansion of its "state-of-the-art" training center in 2006 to accommodate a growing need in the industry for training. Today, three full-time GED trainers provide comprehensive operating and maintenance courses for both vinyl and glass machinery in a dedicated 16,000 square foot training and technical center. Courses include classroom, computer lab and hands-on machinery training without interruption to the manufacturing process. Students receive reference materials and a certificate upon completion.

In his course evaluation JELD-WEN's Gale said, "Overall the course was good. I was able to keep up with minimal prior knowledge of the equipment. The insights and tips from Ken were extremely helpful."

With more than 3,500 graduates to date, Gale's positive experience is reflective of the success of the training program across the board.
