Tempering Division Announces New Chair
The Glass Association of North America's (GANA) tempering division
has announced that Cliff Monroe will be the new chairperson of the
division.
Monroe, the manufacturing expert at Arch Aluminum and Glass Co.,
has been in the industry nearly 32 years, having worked at Guardian
Industries for 24 of those years. During part of his time in the
industry, Monroe has worked on vacuum deposition and in quality
control positions, shifting into the fabrication end of the industry
in the mid 1990s. He's been with Arch Aluminum for five years.
For more than 20 years, Monroe has been a member of GANA, serving
most recently as the tempering division education chair and having
been named to the Insulated Glass Certification Council (IGCC) board
of governors. He's been serving on the board of Glazing Industry
Code Committee since the beginning of 2005.
Monroe will take the reigns of the tempering division officially
at the tempering division membership meeting that will be held during
Glass Week 2006. He replaces current chairperson Ren Bartoe of Vesuvius
USA.
"With the multitude of Division technical activities, fantastic
membership growth and continuing marketing programs, I look forward
to leading this group of individuals made up of the finest in our
industry," said Monroe.
