GANA Building Envelope Contractors Division Announces New Chair

The Glass Association of North America's (GANA) Building Envelope Contractors (BEC) Division announced that Max Perilstein, vice president of marketing for Florida-based Arch Aluminum and Glass Co. Inc., has been elected the new Division Chairperson. Perilstein replaces Andy Gum of Thomas Glass Co., who also serves as the second vice-president of GANA.

"My primary goal as BEC Division Chairman is to spearhead the efforts of GANA in the commercial fenestration and contract glazing industries," said Perilstein. "Our organization is the best possible tool available to the industry, promoting architectural glass in construction. With its annual BEC Conference, the Contract Glazing Educational Conference for project managers and estimators, a new educational manual coming in the next few months and so much more, the BEC Division is making strong inroads in the industry. I look forward to continuing and increasing these efforts."

Perilstein has worked in the industry since 1991, starting at PDC Glass & Metal Services in Cheswick, Pa., where he was promoted to vice president/administration in 1995. He moved to Michigan in 1997 to become general manager of PDC Glass of Michigan, before joining Arch Aluminum & Glass in 2002 as director of marketing. He was promoted to vice president of marketing in 2005 and also participates as a member of the United States Green Building Council, as well as the Aluminum Extruders Council.
