The Glass Association of North America (GANA) has released the
sixth and latest in a series of glass informational bulletins
geared toward providing technical information and education to
the architectural fenestration industry. The bulletin, titled
Flat Glass Industry Specifications, provides a listing of current
editions of industry consensus and federal flat glass standards
that are specified and referenced frequently for use in residential
and commercial construction applications in the United States.
"We developed this bulletin in order to provide architects,
specifiers and members of our industry a single resource that
will keep them up-to-date on current industry standards,"
said Greg Carney, GANA technical director. "Construction
specifications often reference out-of-date standards. We hope
this bulletin will increase awareness of the flat glass industry
standards and serve as a tool to ensure the current editions are
GANA plans to update the bulletin whenever revisions are published
for any of the listed standards. The bulletin can be downloaded
