Fortune Magazine Announces 100 Fastest Growing Companies

Fortune magazine, one of the most recognized of business magazines in the country, has announced its 100 Fastest Growing Companies for 2006 and access equipment manufacturer JLG Industries is one of those companies.

JLG is known for its access equipment, such as scissor lifts and telehandlers, and was ranked number 22 overall with a 45 percent revenue growth (a three year annual rate comparision). Joining JLG in the top 100 are steel maker Nucor, which was ranked number 63 in 2005 and moved up to number 10 this year, with a 44 percent revenue growth and Autodesk, a design-software manufacturer with engineers and architects for clients, which came in at number 63 on the countdown. Autodesk saw a revenue growth of 26 percent. Leading the list was Vaalco Energy, an oil company, with 81 percent revenue growth.
