Ohio - Edgetech I.G. Inc. was one of two businesses that received the Eastern
Ohio Development Alliance (EODA) Business Excellence Award during its 15th annual
meeting in Walnut Creek, Ohio, April 29, 2005.
Edgetech was nominated by Norm Blanchard of the Cambridge-Guernsey County Community
Improvement Corporation to receive the award, which recognizes companies that
improve the economy and quality of life in Eastern Ohio through employment, civic
involvement and innovation.
Ohio Governor Bob Taft, featured speaker at the event, was on hand to present
the awards. Presentation of business awards was part of the annual meeting that
included more than 300 federal and state legislators, area business people and
county officials.
Each year the EODA, a non-profit organization dedicated to economic growth
through regional cooperation among business and public leaders in 16 counties
in the region, recognizes private firms and public agencies for their contributions.
Edgetech President, Mike Hovan, thanked the EODA for the prestigious award,
and noted that with the continued support of agencies such as the Cambridge-Guernsey
County Community Improvement Corporation and the EODA, they will continue to grow
both as a quality supplier to the fenestration industry as well as be a solid
employer in the Eastern Ohio region.
