DuPont Glass Laminating Solutions, headquartered in Wilmington, Del., has announced a global price increase of 10 percent for all grades of its Butacite polyvinyl butyral interlayer and Spallshield® composite films, effective October 1, 2005. The company's Retrim subsidiary will also increase its interlayer prices globally by 10 percent.

According to the company, this action is required due to the unprecedented and sustained increases in petrochemical feedstock, energy and freight costs.
