Kenneth Yarosh and Lawrence Carbary, technical experts on silicone sealants
for the building construction industry with Dow Corning, have been recognized
by the American Society of Testing Materials International (ASTM) for their contributions
to their field.
Yarosh, European technical manager for global construction, was awarded the
ASTM International Award of Merit and the accompanying title of "Fellow."
This is the highest honor designated by ASTM International for individual contributions
in the development of industry standards.
Carbary, an associate industry scientist, was awarded the Sealants Hall of
Fame Award for his service to the ASTM C 24 committee, which develops standards
for building seals and sealant technologies. This is the highest honor awarded
by the committee.
Both Yarosh and Carbary have more than 20 years experience in the industry
and are long-time members of ASTM International. Yarosh serves as the vice chairperson
elect for committee C 24 and Carbary chairs the ASTM C 24 international standards
and adhesion subcommittees.
