The Sealant, Waterproofing and Restoration Institute (SWRI),
an organization of more than 180 commercial contractors, manufacturers
and consultants, has validated the sealing performance of three
sealants from Midland, Mich.-based Dow Corning. The 756 SMS building
sealant, 995 silicone structural sealant and contractors weatherproofing
sealant (CWS) were all certified against ASTM C719 and ASTM C661.
The company's 790 and 795 silicone building sealants also hold
certification, for a total of five certified sealants.
"Dow Corning Corp. has been a long-standing supporter of
the SWRI," said Duane Govitz, market manager for Dow Corning.
"We appreciate how this respected professional organization
provides an independent, reliable source of industry research
and information. That's why we're very pleased and proud to receive
these most recent certifications."
