Diamon-Fusion International Inc. (DFI) of San Clemente, Calif., has reached a strategic alliance agreement with glass shower manufacturer Oben® USA Inc. of Hayward, Calif. Oben has selected DFI's surface protective nanocoating Diamon-Fusion® as a standard feature for its Glide Glass™.

According to a company news release, DFI's nanocoating supplies a full range of enhanced hydrophobic properties to treated glass surfaces, and features characteristics such as: water and oil repellency, impact and scratch resistance, finger print protection, UV stability and increased brilliance and lubricity.

"Oben provides a new avenue in our marketing for the U.S. market," stated Guillermo Seta, vice president and executive director of DFI Global Operations. "They bring more than 80 years of design expertise and a very innovative product. Our co-branding with Oben sets the tone for a new era of functional shower door designs."
