As part of the National Ornamental and Miscellaneous Metals Association (NOMMA)
convention, which took place March 2-5 in New Orleans, members had the opportunity
to tour the Covington, La., headquarters of Dependable Glass Works.
Norman
Foxworth, president of Dependable, along with employees, welcomed the group. Visitors
toured two fabrication buildings, and also viewed new designs in glass and learned
about laminated glass used in flooring, stair treads and other applications. They
also learned about Dependable's new glass product, Magic Vue glass, which can
change from opaque to clear at the flip of a switch.
"We were honored to be one of only two locations in the state of Louisiana
selected by the NOMMA organization," said Foxworth. "For more than 38
years we have been servicing the glass industry with quality products and services.
We have had architects, designers and glass companies from all over the world
visit our facility. Our most recent international visitors were from South Korea."
Foxworth was also selected to moderate a seminar during the convention that
focused on the latest innovations in the glass industry.
