CRL Opens New Expanded Branch Facility in Chicago

Los Angeles-based, C.R. Laurence Co., Inc. (CRL), a supplier to the glazing, architectural, construction, industrial, and automotive industries, has completed construction of the company's new warehouse and distribution facility in Elgin, Ill., and it is officially open for business.

The new 75,000 sq. ft. building was constructed as a "high cube" storage building. With the extra height that "high cube" construction provides inventory can be stored up to 20' high, equating to 125,000 to 150,000 sq. ft. of storage space.

"We've been in Chicago for over 30 years, serving our customers in the Midwest, and wanted to build a state-of-the-art facility to provide our customers with faster, more efficient service, and increased inventory. This 75,000 sq. ft. high cube warehouse enables us to have the most modern and efficient facility of this type in the Midwest. We'd like our customers to visit for themselves and see our expansive Will Call area, which includes displays of many of CRL's newest products, including full size working models of CRL's architectural hardware products, shower door hardware, railing systems, and transaction hardware," said Donald E. Friese, president and chief executive officer.

The new facility is located in the Northwest Business Park, in Elgin. Harry Kuffel is the branch manager. The address is 2765 Spectrum, Elgin, IL 60123. The phone numbers are 847-426-3800 (phone) and 847-426-0111 (fax).
