CRL
Introduces New Board Up System
C.R. Laurence
Co. Inc. (CRL) of Los Angeles has introduced a new approach to storefront
board-up jobs with its new Board Up System.
The company
says the system is designed for fast and easy work with both 4-inch
and 4 ½-inch flush glazing frames, and includes reusable,
high-impact styrene plastic corner and intermediate brackets, shims
for 4 ½-inch frames and quick-mounting fasteners. As long
as the board is at least 4 inches larger overall than the overall
opening, it is no longer necessary to cut plywood to exact sizes,
according to the company.
"The CRL
Board Up System not only provides a faster installation time for
the glazier, but also, because no screwing to the frame is required,
the customer is not left with unsightly holes in his window frame,"
said Bill Gyore, product manager. "The system provides an attractive
application too, leaving nothing protruding from the inside. Furthermore,
the store [has] ensured security since the plywood cannot be removed
from the outside."
