Crane Composites Collaborates with Major Industries to Develop Curtainwall System

Crane Composites Inc., a Crane Co. formerly known as Kemlite Co., has collaborated with Major Industries to develop SunStrong™ PRS, a fiberglass-reinforced plastic composite daylighting panel.

According to a company announcement, the new fiberglass panel uses a technologically advanced polymer resin system that contains ultraviolet screening agents and a color stability package. The company says the product is designed to provide longer lasting translucency and better protection against the effects of yellowing and fiberbloom compared to traditional FRP products.

The SunStrong panel will be offered as a component on Major Industries' Ultimate Series™ curtainwall system.
