CEFPI
Recognizes Major Industries
The Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI) has recognized
Major Industries of Wausau, Wis., for excellence in enhancing school learning
environments nationwide. Major was chosen for having contributed daylighting systems
to the following school systems: Briscoe Junior High School and Foster High School,
both in Richmond, Texas; Pin Oak Middle School in Bellaire, Texas; and Walkonda
Elementary School in Omaha, Neb.
"Research studies consistently show that daylight contributes to a better
learning environment and that it even helps improve students' test scores,"
said Wayne Toenjes, president of Major Industries. "At [our company] we are
very excited to be involved in creating learning environments that help students
succeed."
