Bunch to Receive Friends of Adam Smith Award
The Friends of Adam Smith, a not-for-profit organization founded
on the economic theories and writings of Adam Smith, a Scottish
philosopher and educator, recently announced that PPG Industries
chairman and CEO Charles Bunch will receive its 2007 Business Citizen
medal honoring the spirit of free enterprise.
The medal will be presented to Bunch at the annual Friends of Adam
Smith awards dinner on May 1, at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington,
D.C. Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska will also be recognized that
night as the recipient of the organization's Elected Official medal.
The Friends of Adam Smith was established in 2000 by the Business
Industry Political Action Committee (BIPAC) and is dedicated to
furthering the economic ideas espoused by Adam Smith.
