Bendheim of Passaic, N.J., has completed its equipment expansion
program. The company now stocks 2,500 different types of glass,
with more than a half million square feet of architectural glass
in its warehouses.
In addition, Bendheim is now offering in-house tempering services.
According to the company, its tempering ovens do not require toxic
sulfur dioxide as a lubricant, resulting in clear tempered glass.
Furthermore, by using advanced software, Bendheim says it can
achieve precision temperature control of each piece of glass,
regulating air pressure, movement and timing. Temperature is maintained
within +/- one degree Fahrenheit throughout the oven, ensuring
a quality product, the company says.
