Avalon Doors Donates 250 Entry Doors to Habitat for Humanity

Avalon Doors LLC, a custom door manufacturer based in Encinitas, Calif., has donated 250 entry doors to Habitat for Humananity intended for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

"We felt we needed to do something to help with the devastation created by this natural disaster" said David Fitzgerald, chief executive officer of Avalon Doors. "Our good fortune and desire to be known as a concerned corporate citizen, lead to the decision to help the best way we knew how."

Habitat has built more than 200,000 houses around the world, providing more than 1,000,000 people in more than 3,000 communities with safe, decent, affordable shelter.
