Arch Aluminum & Glass of Tamarac, Fla., has announced that it has received
Miami-Dade (NOA) product approvals on its new IFG5000 2 ½-inch by 5-inch
flush glazed hurricane impact system. According to the announcement, the system
was tested with 9/16-inch laminated glass with several different interlayers.
It is designed to be factory fabricated or shipped in stock lengths for the customer's
fabrication.
"As one of the first companies to receive NOAs after Hurricane Andrew,
we take pride in developing new products that can be useful for our customer base,"
said Jeff Ziesche, Arch's director of aluminum operations.
The material is currently available in clear and dark bronze anodized, as well
as white powder coat at the Tamarac, Fla. Facility.
