Arch Aluminum & Glass Co. Inc. of Tamarac, Fla. will be opening a full-service
glass and aluminum facility in Salt Lake City by the end of the first quarter
of 2006.
The plant will be built initially to handle national OEM accounts that have
committed to locate manufacturing facilities near Salt Lake City to serve the
west coast, a company news release indicated.
"We are fortunate to have customers that give us this opportunity to expand
Arch's geographical foot print with minimum risk," said Leon Silverstein,
president and chief executive officer of the company. "These are the type
of relationships that are built up over years with good customers that challenge
us to become a better company."
The new facility will have a state-of-the-art, multi-bay convection tempering
furnace and the ability to provide the full range of products that most Arch operations
have, including insulated, laminated, mirror, decorative glass and architectural
aluminum products, according to the news release.
